What is PESCAROL?

PESCAROL is a combined preparation based on fish oil with the amount of vitamin D and vitamin A necessary for the body

Fish oil containing: Vitamin D and Vitamin A

Studies have shown that vitamin A (retinol) stimulates the synthesis of special cells - osteoblasts, which, in turn, actively produce the structures and substances that make up the bone. At the cellular level, osteoblasts synthesize substances that form a new bone site. Moreover, vitamin A starts the process of calcification of the newly grown bone site, making it as durable as all the other parts. Thus, vitamin A simultaneously provides the process of bone synthesis, and the filling of calcium with new areas. It is well known that calcium is an essential microelement for calcification (hardening) of bones. And Vitamin D is a vitamin that promotes the full absorption of calcium from food. As a result, it is good absorption of calcium from the intestines that provides optimal conditions for bone growth. In this way, the ability of vitamin D to improve the absorption of calcium indirectly leads to increased bone growth. But most importantly, vitamin D, like vitamin A, stimulates the synthesis of osteoblasts, which are actually responsible for the construction of bone microstructure. On the formed microskeleton calcium salts and microelements are built up, mature bone tissue is formed

  • Provides the basis for the restoration of damaged bone tissue
  • Creates optimal conditions for the development of a healthy skeleton in children and adolescents
  • Thanks to the synergy of vitamins A and D, complexly restores the structure and functions of the bone after injuries and surgery
  • Prevention and treatment of rickets
  • Prevention of vitamin A and vitamin D deficiency, maintenance treatment of osteoporosis
  • Restoring treatment after fractures and endoprosthetics
  • Prevention of rickets in premature newborns

Prevention of rickets: the recommended dose is 1 capsule per day. Supportive treatment of osteoporosis: the recommended dose is 2-3 capsules per day. The total recommended dose for eliminating vitamin D deficiency for children is 2 capsules a day. Dose in the treatment of vitamin D deficiency is determined by the doctor individually for each, depending on the course and severity of the disease. The duration of treatment depends on the course and severity of the disease and is determined by the physician individually. Treatment of rickets and osteomalacia caused by vitamin D3 deficiency should be continued for 1 year

There are no known side effects associated with the use of this product

Avoid using in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components of the product

Phenytoin, barbiturates and GCS reduce the effect of vitamin D. Taking thiazide diuretics can lead to the development of hypercalcemia due to a lower level of calcium excretion by the kidneys. In the case of long-term use of the drug should monitor the level of calcium in blood plasma and urine. Vigantol increases the toxicity of cardiac glycosides, it is necessary to monitor the level of calcium in the blood and urine, ECG. The combination of Wigantol with metabolites or analogues of vitamin D is possible only in exceptional cases and only under the control of the level of calcium in the blood plasma. Rifampicin and isoniazid may reduce the effect of the drug due to increased biotransformation
